Here are a few recommendations for the types of photos you might submit to me:
1) Natural light looks much better than a flash. If you have to use a flash, try not to get it directly in your pet's eyes (unlike my "How It's Made" example!).
2) Try to get full-body shot of your pet. The stripes, spots or wrinkles of a pet's body give me much more to work with than a simple head-shot.
3) No extraneous objects blocking any part of your pet's body, unless you want that object in the final image (i.e. a favorite toy or the pet curled in a blanket).
4) High-resolution digital photos are preferred, but I will accept traditional photographs by mail. I will not accept blurry low-res images taken by a web cam or cell phone.
Thanks for your interest. I hope to be painting your pet soon!
